Trinity County has no incorporated cities - the only county in CA with no incorporated cities. This makes an interesting county to monitor on the radio. Everything is handled by the Sheriff and CHP. Most of the fire is handled by the volunteer fire departments in the communities. CDF takes care of all the other fires. Shasta/Trinity National Forest covers most all the grounds outside of the state highways and communities.

The Sheriff takes all the calls for law enforcement. I haven't really monitored the Sheriff Dept lately so I can't give any pointers on how to monitor them.
