This does not include links contained in pages pointing to a site outside of the sites listed above. NorCalScan is not a business nor an entity. It is basically a name I made up to represent the radio knowledge I have. The address of domain name registration is simply a mailing address and not a place of residence or business.

My site is a direct point of my personal view and opinion. All contributions or statements of any contributor to this site will remain solely theirs and I will not be responsible for any damage or harm as the result of those statements or contributions appearing on this site. These contributions will be cited accordingly. Any guestbook or message board within my site will be held separate from my opinions - each contributer holding their expressed view.

All portions of my site that have a hypertext link to them are considered "public". There are hidden directories on my site with no hypertext link to them and they are considered "private". While these portions of my site are not completely secured by encryption, I have taken every means possible to prevent the average Internet user from gaining access to those portions of the website. This includes java based security, requests for search engines to not index, and hidden directories that you must type in directly to gain access to. Users who do have access to the private portions of my site I personally know and will use the information found for their radio hobby pleasure only. I will not post illegal or ethical frequencies as described below on either public or private portions of my site. Requests made to have information taken off the site (as described below) may be moved to a private portion of the site where I personally know the intent of those private users' use of this information.

All content on this site is in LEGAL perameter. Content either original findings, contributed by third party (person) with consent, or contributed by third party (source) with consent and/or proper citations.

"Original findings" include radio technology that searches wide areas of frequencies or ctcss tones in a short amount of time, hours and hours of note taking and other means not derived from the third party sources following...

"Third party person" includes information shared with me with the knowledge that it can/could be published on my site. Any conversation with a person disclosing site related information will not be published without the consent of that person. This also includes an invitation to tour a facility with the intent of gaining radio information. That particular radio information (pictures or text) will not be disclosed without the consent of the facility supervisor.

"Third party source" includes the Federal Communications Commision Public Records Database, commercially provided scanner books like Police Call or Monitor, and other internet sites located on the internet covering radio information. I am not the ONLY source of this info by any means available. This is only the same info that everybody else has and presented and organized in my own format.

I will not publish on a public portion of my site any of the following: 1. specific transmit locations of public safety or business repeaters or other critical components of a public safety or business radio system, 2. specific locations of public safety buildings with critical functions, 3. frequencies that if intercepted can cause economic distress such as certain types of businesses that depend on radio communications for their economic growth, 4. School related frequencies including security, maintenance, and transportation. Don't ask, unless I know you personally and your intended use of this information, I won't even bother replying to you.

I WILL NOT publish info I deem dangerous to an officer's or firefighter's life on this website. That includes details on how to monitor and decode encrypted radio information. If you have an officer safety concern with this website, please make sure the concern is true and not in a political, "good ol' boy", or slanderous intent. I will not back down or be "threatened" in any way if the concern is a political, good ol' boy or slanderous intent. I drive with all my lights working, registeration updated, and very rarely speed (my truck physically can't speed) so please don't make my life miserable. It would be a shame to see Public Service resort to using power plays to intimidate legal citizens in their daily lives.

I will always take into special account a request made by a local agency to delete information found on this website. That agency must contact me in a professional manner and continue to portray their department in a professional manner throughout the process. ANY contact of this sort can/could be published on my site unless it pertains to legal issues so represent your department or agency with professionalism and respect. I completely respect and support those agencies that have previously contacted me with the same respect and professionalism.

I will make ALL FINAL decisions regarding content on my site with exception to illegal content (which is not to be found on my site to my knowledge anyways)

I am not a U.S. Constitution bender or fanatic and don't think I live by rights. Yes I have rights to certain extent but there are ethics and commen sense to follow too. This entire disclaimer came about because of previous unprofessional "run ins" with agencies around Northern California concerned with content found on this website. Most were valid and I promptly deleted information. However there are some adament on using the "Good Ol' Boy" system in contacting in me in unprofessional ways and (to my personal feeling) "threatening me" in having simple public content taken off this site. I wish to have the best of relationships with all agencies, especially some that I am closely related to and have no intentions of spreading bad word about those agencies. I never would or will. All I ask - is be professional and respectful in your contact. And before you contact me, please check your local Radio Shack to make sure this info isn't being sold there in a book called Police Call for $12.99
